Sat., April 27. JOHN VANCE. Many will recognize Mr. Vance as a TV actor, (New Girl, Two and a Half Men, Malcolm in the Middle, The New Normal, and Passions, to name a few. Hacks, on HBO Max is set to air later this spring.) On film he was directed by George Clooney in Leatherheads, in which he had the rare treat of playing a mother and son—in the same scene!
Mr. Vance credits the Gardenia’s Tuesday open mike nights as a springboard for the recordings he produced in the “aughts” with Jeff Colella—It’s all Right With Me and Dreamsville (Erawan Records.) In this outing, he explores the works of Henry Mancini.
