Fri., Oct. 17.  PETRA.  When the enigmatic and unconventional Petra began frequenting the Gardenia’s Tuesday Open Mike Nights, we were drawn to the unique timbre of her voice and the rapt attention the audience always paid.  Her musicianship, style, and choices of material, unafraid as she is to stray from the more traditional ballads, have been revelatory, and warrant this introduction to the wider community.
